One of my vices is buying bags ^^;

For camera backpack, I normally use the Brevite Jumper. But for non camera backpacks, I do have several others.

I really like the Brevite Jumper’s design and layout, but the shoulder straps are not the most comfortable. It also doesn’t have sternum and removable hip straps. Some of my other backpacks have those.

I wanted my non camera backpacks to be more accommodating to my photography needs when needed. So I browsed around for a good camera insert. I thought that it’d be better to get a camera insert rather than buying another backpack 😛

Filter comparison: Freewell CPL/GMIST (1/4) vs. PolarPro ShortStache Everyday Filter

I got the opportunity to purchase the PolarPro ShortStache Everyday Filter. I already have the Freewell CPL/GMIST filter, which is very similar to the ShortStache filter, but I’m curious about the difference between the two.

Saya melihat reel ini di Instagram Story teman saya.

Sebuah reel yang menjelaskan isi dari sebuah buku foto oleh Rika Noguchi. Buku itu berisikan foto-foto yang diambil oleh Ayah dari Noguchi-san menggunakan kamera Olympus PEN.

Ketika mencari informasi lebih lanjut tentang buku foto ini, saya menemukan tulisan dari Noguchi-san sendiri yang menjelaskan arti dari foto-foto tersebut bagi dirinya.

Setelah bertahun-tahun menggunakan Snapseed, akhirnya saya langganan Adobe Lightroom

Sudah cukup lama saya mengedit foto-foto yang saya ambil itu di smartphone Android saya menggunakan aplikasi Snapseed. Sebuah aplikasi edit foto gratis yang sudah dibeli oleh Google.

Selama bertahun-tahun, saya merasa aplikasi Snapseed ini sudah sangat cukup untuk kebutuhan edit foto saya.

Namun akhir tahun lalu saya mendengar kabar bahwa Adobe akan menaikkan harga Adobe Lightroom mulai 15 Januari 2025 ini.

“Berjudi” membeli lensa konversi Fujifilm WCL-X100 & TCL-X100 bekas yang berjamur

Bulan Desember 2024 lalu, saya menemukan penjual di Tokopedia yang menjual satu set lensa konversi Fujifilm WCL-X100 dan TCL-X100 dengan harga yang sangat menarik.

Ketika saya bertanya-tanya mengenai kondisi lensa, penjual menjelaskan bahwa kondisi lensa tidak ada lecet, namun berjamur. Keduanya juga masih yang generasi pertama, jadi belum ada fitur deteksi otomatis ketika dipasang ke kamera Fujifilm seri X100.

Saya sempat galau selama beberapa hari apakah saya ingin membeli kedua lensa konversi ini. Di satu sisi, harganya sangat murah; namun di sisi lain, saya tidak bisa 100% yakin kondisi barangnya seperti apa.

Singkat cerita, saya akhirnya memutuskan untuk nekat saja membeli keduanya.

First impressions: Zeiss Touit 32mm f1.8 on the Fujifilm X-M1

I recently received an old digital Fujifilm camera from my sister. It’s the Fujifilm X-M1. The camera is in a very good condition, aside from the LCD, which already has vignetting and color cast. It’s still ok for composing, but I can’t rely on it anymore to judge colors.

I decided to buy a new lens for it 🙂 I’ve always been fascinated by the Zeiss Touit 32mm f/1.8 lens, but previously I don’t own a compatible interchangeable lens camera for that lens. When I buy cameras for myself, I deliberately bought fixed lens cameras like the Fujifilm X100 and the X70.

Receiving the camera from my sister was a good excuse to finally buy the lens. A few days ago, I managed to find a secondhand copy online, and I just received it a couple of nights ago.

Filter comparison: Tiffen Glimmerglass 1 vs Freewell CPL/GMIST (1/4)

Not too long after I got my hands on a Fujifilm X100VI camera, I bought a Tiffen Glimmerglass 1 for it; and it has stayed installed pretty much all the time.

Recently I was made aware of a new filter/lens hood combo from Freewell. The filter is a CPL and mist filter combined into one.

In this post I simply want to share some comparison photos taken with the two filters.

65:24 aspect ratio.

I’ve been fascinated by the 65:24 aspect ratio for quite some time.

Photographer Jonas Rask has written a series of blog posts about his experience using Fujifilm TX-1, a film camera that shoots in 65:24 ratio. Basically using 2 frames of 35mm film format at once for each photos.

Mencetak foto di rumah menggunakan Canon Selphy CP1300

Saya hobi fotografi sejak SMA, mungkin karena pengaruh Papa saya yang hobi fotografi juga.

Ketika SMA, saya masih foto menggunakan film menggunakan kamera Nikon FM2n punya Papa. Namun sejak kuliah saya mulai menggunakan kamera digital (Sony F717).

Sejak era foto digital semakin populer, saya sudah hampir tidak pernah lagi mencetak foto-foto yang pernah saya ambil. Media sosial untuk sharing foto juga digunakan oleh hampir semua orang yang saya kenal, dan saya cenderung membagikan foto-foto saya di Instagram saja. Jika tidak melalui Instagram, paling saya sharing ke keluarga dan teman melalui WhatsApp atau Google Photos. Memang sangat nyaman dan mudah.

Saya setuju dengan fotografer/YouTuber tersebut, sudah banyak dari kita yang tidak lagi mencetak foto-foto yang kita ambil.
